I wanted to share the results of my 1st few photo facials with my Taaz friends! For a Christmas present, I treated myself to a series of 6 IPL Photo Facials. I'm 42, have fair skin and want to keep my face looking as healthy and youthful as possible! I've had 3 treatments so far, (4 is recommended) and I can see a big improvement in my skin. My main goal was to diminish sun/age spots and hyper pigmentation. I did this as a preventative and maintenance treatment to reduce the signs of aging. My Specialist uses a non-laser medical device to deliver pulses of visible light onto the surface of my face. I apply a numbing cream 1 hour before to reduce the pain, (it burns a bit)!! Sorta feels like a hot iron on my face for a quick second and the skin is red for a few hours after the treatment. What you notice instantly is the brown spots that appear on the surface, I looked freckled and some people look like they have coffee grounds on their face. After 1 week or so, the spots start to "flake off" and disappear. Skin looks smoother and more even. I shared a few pictures.....the 1st one is the day of the treatment and the last 2 are 1 week later.

I highly recommend this procedure, I'm very happy with my results!

@anniehsieh I think it would be great for anyone 30 +! Those darn sun spots can appear in the 20's and they just keep increasing! I also use bleaching pads so my spots weren't that bad but I was pretty shocked at the patch that I had after the 3rd treatment! Ugh! So worth it though! This comment has been removed.

Thanks for sharing! This is the first time I'm hearing about IPL...is there a target age range for this type of treatment? This comment has been removed.

Love that you shared this with us. I had been wondering about this. If it was effective and the number of treatments needed. Very informational =) This comment has been removed.

@vana713 Yes, feels like a sunburn but my face was only red for a few hours after, not bad. This comment has been removed.
