How to Get Rid of Bumps & Breakouts
How to Get Rid of Bumps &Amp; Breakouts
Step 1: Red BumpsUsually, this is a breakout that is deep within the skin – meaning DO NOT PICK OR SQUEEZE. If you do, you’ll end up injuring the skin and possibly scarring it. What can you do then? For one, you can calm it down with a charcoal mask. Sulfur is also a great option for this type of acne. I have an on-the-spot treatment with 6% sulfur that I really massage into the area both morning and night. Also, it’s important to exfoliate to purge it out of your skin. Try a mild exfoliation such as bareMinerals Exfoliating Treatment Cleanser, so you are not irritating it even more.
Step 2: BlackheadsBlackheads are merely oils from your pores that have been oxidized. To get rid of them, you will need to exfoliate the area on a regular basis 1-2 times per week. It depends on how oily your skin is and your lifestyle (exercise, weather). I would recommend a manual exfoliation method such as a Clarisonic or Oil of Olay Pro-X Advanced Cleansing System.
Step 3: White BumpsThere are two types of white bumps. One is filled with a white liquid, and the other is harder and looks like a pearl. The one filled with liquid can easily be pushed out, but make sure to clean your hands and the pimple area first. Also, after you have extracted the liquid out, make sure to wash the area to avoid spreading the breakout to another part of your face.
The pearl white bump will need to be extracted by a skincare professional or you can use an exfoliating serum. Usually, this is caused by product build-up. So if you stop using the product, you won’t get the same problem again. I can get these around my eye area if I use the wrong eye cream.
