DIY Beauty Tricks to Try at Home

Beauty DIY
It’s no secret that the business of beauty can get quite pricey. From expensive products to costly treatments, it’s easy to spend a small fortune when keeping yourself well-maintained. This needn’t be the case, especially when armed with a few simple ingredients and a little DIY know-how.

For healthy, radiant skin, try a moisturizing mask made from a mixture of one part plain yogurt, one part oatmeal, and a dash of honey. Apply to the face and leave on for ten minutes to get soft, smooth, bright skin.

There’s no need to dish out the dollars for fancy exfoliators and scrubs. Get the same skin-sloughing effects from a mixture of one tablespoon of honey and a teaspoon of sugar. Scrubbing the mixture gently over your face will not only reveal smoother skin, but may also induce a serious craving for some sweet stuff.

For an extra enriching and moisturizing hair treat, mix a quarter cup of plain yogurt, a quarter cup of mayonnaise and one egg white. Apply the mixture liberally to your hair, ensuring that each and every strand is coated, and then cover hair with a shower cap. After 30 minutes, rinse the mixture out and dry as usual. You will notice that your hair not only looks shiny, but feels wonderful.

Armed with a few simple ingredients and some smart recipes, DIY beauty is easier than you think!

The hair mask works like a dream! My hair is so soft afterward. Wish I could do it more often, but it leaves a greasy residue in my bathtub. This comment has been removed.
