At-Home Spa Treatment

At Home Spa Treatment
The modern girl is constantly on the go. From work, to play, and everything in between, many women find themselves in desperate need of some unwind time—but lack the means or the time for a trip to a fancy salon. For those individuals, an at-home spa treat is the way to go. Here are some of our favorite tips.

Candles

The first step toward creating an at-home spa experience is to establish the right ambience. All you really need is a dark, quiet room, illuminated only by the soft, yellow flicker of a deliciously scented candle. With thousands upon thousands of candle scent options out there, you’ll have no problem selecting the scents that are most comforting to you. When in doubt, lavender—known for its soothing qualities—is always a good choice. Close the door, turn off the lights, light a candle and voila: instant spa atmosphere.

Bath Time

Nothing is more soothing than a warm, aromatic bath. The spa experience really gets going in the bath tub. Use products with ingredients that are beneficial to the skin, and that provide scent. You can even find products specially designed to foam, bubble, or add some color to your bath. We’re talking about bath bombs (a hard-packed ball of ingredients that fizzes when water is added), bath bubbles, and bath salts, of course. All of these can be used to create a soothing bath time experience, which will help you cleanse, and will calm the senses as well.

Hydration

After a warm soak in the tub, it is essential to replace any moisture that might have been lost. Use a rich, deliciously scented body butter to extend your spa experience. As with any at-home spa product, there are a number of blends and scents available, ready and waiting to be massaged evenly into the skin.

The frazzled, harrowed, and busy individual need not fret over having neither the time nor the money to shell out for a spa treatment. With these tried and true tips, you can bring the spa to your own home.

At home pampering treatments are a must for me. I don't get to take a bubble bath often, but when I do it's so nice. This comment has been removed.

I agree! Everyone should do at-home spas just to relax. I like trying different bath salts and put on a face mask while I soak. This comment has been removed.
