Find Out the Different Ways You Can Use Vaseline!

Vaseline’s or any other petroleum jelly out there may or may not be everyone’s cup of tea. While some people love to use it as a means of hydrating their skin and their face, others argue that its mineral oil ingredient may tend to clog pores—particularly on facial skin (according to debated scientific research). Regardless, there are millions of women out there who attest to the usefulness of good old-fashioned petroleum jelly in their beauty regimen. And it definitely helps that a big tub costs only a few bucks, and lasts forever!

Treatment for cracked hands and feet: You know that time during the winter when slathering layers of lotion just doesn’t seem to cut it anymore? Well, you can easily deal with the problem by applying liberal layers of Vaseline onto your hands or feet and then wrapping it up with something so it doesn’t get all over your blanket and bed. I personally use plastic bags and tie it loosely around my ankles—looks strange but works well!

Lip treatment: Another great use for Vaseline is for hydrating dry, chapped lips. I don’t know if this happens only to me, but it seems like there are just those days when my lip balms doesn’t seem to hydrate my lips—no matter how much and how often I apply. During these times, I whip out my handy old toothbrush (make sure it’s soft), splash my lips with some warm water, and proceed to softly scrub off all the dead skin on my lips. After doing so, apply a layer of Vaseline…and my lips will be baby soft!

Removing makeup: This is probably a given, but Vaseline also works well to remove makeup. Forget about paying $25+ for a department store brand makeup remover; you have all you need in a tub of Vaseline!

Conditioning your lashes: I haven’t yet tried this for myself, but I head that if you meticulously apply Vaseline to your lashes with a mascara wand right before you go to bed every night, it’ll help repair the condition of your lashes and even make them grow longer! Just be sure not to get the stuff in your eyes!

Couldn't agree more! I use it for all these purposes and I smear it under my eyes and on the tops of my cheeks when my skin is extra dry, which sounds weird, but leave my skin feeling smooth. This comment has been removed.

Always love vaseline! Perfect before bed on feet! I even add thin socks to seal in the moisture! Thanks for sharing! This comment has been removed.
