Usually, I prefer salon brands when purchasing hair products. For the most part, I enjoy the smell of salon-fresh hair, but I also have a dry and sensitive scalp. Unfortunately, drugstore brands dry out my hair and scalp leading to undesirable results such as itchy scalp, dandruff, etc. I’ve also used Head & Shoulders, but it didn’t help to tame my “frizzies” in front. In fact, the only brands that really worked for me were my Macadamia Nut Oil shampoo and Aveda Smooth Infusion conditioner. However, I recently went on a trip, and for convenience sake, I purchased a travel-size shampoo and conditioner from Tresemme. There was only one type, and it happened to be Tresemme Moisture Rich, which I was really happy about because I prefer moisturizing or smoothing hair care. So on my trip, I swam in the salty ocean and chlorine pool A LOT! Thank God I brought the Tresemme Moisture Rich combo with me because my hair needed it! After all of the salt-water abuse, it was dry as a bone. After my first usage, I was shocked because it left my hair so incredibly soft! As an added bonus, my boyfriend, who of course only uses what I use - skincare, hair care and all, raved about it and was so impressed that it calmed down his curly hair. Needless to say, I purchased the Tresemme shampoo and conditioner when I returned home from my trip. It’s so affordable at a low-price of $5-6 (not including tax), and that’s the price of the big bottle! As for the smell or “experience”, there’s nothing that I either love or detest about it. It’s very basic and neutral in fragrance, which again I prefer because fragrance is just another word for chemical. All in all, I am extremely happy with my new shampoo and conditioner!
