These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

Courtney’s Top 10 Favorite Beauty Products

My turn, my turn! I love reading everyone's lists and have created one of my own. Truth is, I like trying ALL beauty products (have a stack of samples waiting for me to try right now). Although for everyday, I am definitely more of a drugstore product kind of girl.

10. Clean & Clear Morning Burst Facial Scrub: it smells great and has little beads that help exfoliate the skin and make it feel smooth. I used to use the Clean & Clear Cleansing Cream which is also a great product, but the Morning Burst feels a little lighter on my face.

9. St. Ives Moisturizing Body Wash Oatmeal & Shea Butter: again, I love the smell and I am a fan of St. Ives products, in general. Their products really do keep my skin feeling hydrated and smooth. They have a lotion that smells like orchids and coconut - so nice!

8. Olay Complete All Day Moisturizing Lotion SPF 15: I've been using this product since college. I use it at night and in the morning. It actually helps my makeup glide on better and if my skin is chapped (or sunburnt) my skin will literally soak this up. I'll always make sure to get my neck too.

7. CoverGirl Cheekers Blush - Natural Twinkle: every year Allure magazine does a best products issue and every year, Nars blush in Orgasm wins; BUT this shade of blush by CoverGirl wins for the "drugstore brand" category and in my opinion, would probably look great on skin tone. $4.00 for the same color and look? I'll take it!

6. Alberto VO5 Hot Oil Weekly Intense Conditioning Treatment: I have really thick hair and like my skin, it tends to be on the drier side. I love using these treatments on my hair and then putting a mask on my face and watching Real Housewives on Sunday nights. Ahh, the little things. :)

5. CoverGirl Eye Enhancers - Cafe Au Lait: I've been inspired to try new eye shadows after seeing all the tutorials on Taaz, which is why I purchased a 72-piece makeup kit with about 40 eye shadow colors. But, my go-to is this color palette because it's good for day or night and has some shimmer to it as well.

4. Pantene Pro-V Conditioner: I use the kind for thick hair even though stylist after stylist has said not to use Pantene products. Clearly, I didn't listen and I think it's such a rich product that I let it soak into my hair and it always looks and feels great after. Beauty Tip #1: Trust what works for you.

3. OPI Nail Polish - Russian Navy: I am devoted to this color. Other colors may come and go, but this one will probably stick as one of my favorites forever. Even when I'm 80.

2. Chapstick: I use lip color, but I at least have to have Chapstick and I really put a lot of it (or Vaseline) on my lips at night because nothing's worse than berry-stained FLAKY lips.

1. Oral-B Satinfloss Dental Floss: and nothing's worse than having an interview, a date, a photo opp and realizing you have something in your teeth and no one has any dental floss. A smile is your best accessory!

Love your list, Courtney. I have to agree with the St. Ives body wash and Chapstick. Those are some serious necessities! This comment has been removed.
I definitely stick with the drugstore for most of my basics too. I relate to your list! This comment has been removed.
