Night Out: Dramatic Makeup Look

My Favorite Products for Creating This Look!

I love getting dressed up to go out with my friends, and what I love just as much (if not even more!) is prepping my makeup look for the night. I’m into experimenting with different textures, colors and products…and recently I’ve been big on these particular products for my go-to “Night Out Dramatic Makeup Look.” Here’s a breakdown of the look itself.

Since I’m going to be going for a more dramatic look for the night, I want to make sure that my makeup stays put and is budge-proof. Smashbox’s photo finish primer does the trick really well; it makes your skin the perfect silky canvass for your foundation to glide on. As for the skin, I’m huge on a dewy, luminous finish, so Chanel’s Vitalumiere Aqua is an amazing product that has light-reflecting properties and looks like second skin!

To impart even more of that angelic glow, I turn to my trusty Benefit Moon Beam, which is perfect for adding radiance to the skin. I like to pat on a little of this product onto the tops of my cheekbones, the bridge of my nose, and a little on the mid-forehead area.

Now we get to the eyes (my favorite!). I’ve found that no matter what I do, eye shadow is really not the same without a solid primer, especially if you’re using a pigmented color. Urban Decay is the cult classic for eye shadow primers. MAC’s eye shadow in Shroom is also a lovely creamy color highlighting the brow bones. Urban Decay’s Black Palette offers a gorgeous selection of color that you can work however you like to achieve your own dramatic look.

And of course, I can never get my look down perfectly without my go-to gel liner in Black Track by MAC. I sweep on a few coats of Diorshow mascara and a bit of lip color from Stila…and I’ve completed this glamorous look!

I love so many of your go-to products! I use Shroom by Mac, UD eye primer and Smashbox's Photo Finish face primer on a regular basis. Great products! I'm wanting to try that Moon Beam now too :) This comment has been removed.
