My Beauty Toolbox

My Beauty Toolbox

There are items in my beauty arsenal that don't get as much credit, but are equally as important as say, my eyelash curler or hair straightener. Here are some "less glam" products and tools that I still rely on to feel and look my best every day!

Loofah - My loofah helps exfoliate my skin and keep it soft. I even buy a mini-loofah for when I travel.

Cotton swabs - I use cotton swabs for everything. I use them to clean up nail polish smudges and eyeliner smears. Also, I use it to help dab on more bold lip color so I don't overdo it.

Cotton balls - Of course, I use it to remove my nail polish, but also if I apply too much blush, I use a cotton ball to swipe gently in circles to remove excess makeup.

Beauty samples - I tear beauty samples out of magazines all the time and get freebies from purchases. These are good to have in a pinch or to use when traveling, instead of constantly having to buy travel-size products.

Hair clip and hair bands - Hair clips are a necessary tool for when I'm straightening, or in the rare case blow drying, my hair. I have to do it in sections, since it's so thick.

Eye gel mask - If I've had a particularly stressful day or feel my eyes are a little bit puffy, I'll use my eye gel mask, which I keep cold in the refrigerator. It helps make my face look less dull and offers soothing to the area around my eyes.

Tweezers/Nail clippers/Emery board - To clean up stray eyebrows, keep nails trimmed, and file nails to look even.

I also keep nail polish remover, mud masks and lots of different lotions and moisturizers on hand, as well as sunscreen, witch hazel and Vaseline to help my chapped lips. The beauty of these products is they can all be found at any drugstore. They're some of the underrated, smaller items that really help to make my beauty toolbox complete.

Thanks for sharing! I always have the cotton rounds on hand to apply toner and take makeup off. Vaseline is a must and hair clips! I currently have about 7 Baby Lips floating around between my car, makeup bag, purse and nightstand! This comment has been removed.
