With spring around the corner, this month’s Birchbox was centered on “Spring Training”. In other words, the products sampled were chosen to whip my beauty routine into shape. Most importantly, they focused on answering any pestering beauty concerns such as flat tresses, random breakouts, boring nails, tricky eye makeup and more! So buh-bye beauty baggage, and hello to a fresh and radiant beauty routine!

In order of LOVE THE MOST to LOVED A LITTLE and finally to COULD HAVE LIVED WITHOUT:

Nail Lacquer in Age of Aquarius by Color Club: My initial reaction to the color would have instantly told you that this product belonged in the LOVE THE MOST category. True to its name, “Age of Aquarius” is a bright, 60s-inspired sea green. Can’t wait to wear this color as an accent nail or matching mani-pedi! Dries fast too!

Blemish Clearing Cleanser by Juice Beauty: I received its partner in crime, Blemish Clearing Serum, in my last month’s Birchbox and absolutely loved it! So I am equally excited to try this one out. With salicylic acid as its main ingredient, I’ve come to realize that this is the working element and savior in my battle against random blemishes (along with MyChelle Clear Skin Spot Treatment with 6% Sulfur). Without a doubt, LOVED A LOT.

Lavender + Clary Sage Hair Powder by Lulu Organics: It’s no secret that flat locks are a common complaint from individuals with naturally straight hair. Combined with an oily scalp, you can throw me in with this unhappy bunch. So let’s test this Lulu hair powder out! The verdict you ask? Apart from accidentally pulling it open like a flour bomb, this product is as refreshing as it sounds! The lavender and clary sage gave me a boost of volume and revived my unwashed hair. No question, LOVED A LOT

Skin-Smart Teas by Tea Forte: I’m no fool. I know that antioxidants are super-important to maintain a girl’s healthy glow! Not only do they fight free radicals which are bad pollutants floating throughout your body, but they also promote healthy skin cells by providing hydrating and anti-aging benefits. Are they tasty you ask? I was sampled the following three flavors: honey yuzu, cherry marzipan and cucumber mint. The cucumber mint is so delicious and revitalizing! Looking forward to the other two flavors, LOVED A LOT.

Smoky Eye Card by Stila: Glitter in all its glory! I’m definitely a girl who can’t say no to something shiny and new. The three colors are effortless and easy as pie to apply. I voted this product as LOVED A LITTLE.

Yogini by Harvey Prince: I received this sample in a past sample box, and Birchbox apologized and credited my online store account. I really appreciated this gesture, which is why Birchbox is one of my favorite beauty sample companies! However, this scent just wasn’t for me, and I COULD HAVE LIVED WITHOUT.
