Lead Test in Lipstick.

True Story or Online Hoax? I Can't Be Sure.

While the amount of lead added to lipsticks is now somewhat limited, older lipsticks may contain higher amounts of it.

how to do the test:

1. Put some lipstick on your hand,
2. Use a 24k-14k Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick.
3. If the lipstick color changed to Black color; it means this lipstick has Lead.

I tried this with some brands, and I have to tell you that only Korres lipstick didn't change to black.
So be careful do some research and try to find lead free lipsticks.

You can find online, which cosmetics have lead.

in this video above, there's another method of how you can see if your lipstick has lead.

Sadly this is true! I make sure to use only natural lip products because of this. Thanks for sharing about Korres! This comment has been removed.

Thank you for posting this. I never knew lead was ever in lipstick. I don't wear lipstick a lot, but is is still a good thing to know. I might find one I love and wear all the time. I wouldn't want lead to be in it. Have you tried this? This comment has been removed.
