My Favorite Drugstore Beauty Finds 2012

drugstore
Hey beauty lovers and fashionistas! I’ve decided to put together a list of my very own favorite drugstore beauty finds for this year. I’m such a sucker for buying new products and trying them out, so I’d thought I’d share a couple of my new favorite products that I recently came across and love. Here is my list!

Physician’s Formula Organic Wear Blush
This blush is really, really natural—and in my opinion, it compares to a lot of the higher-end blushes I’ve purchased. In fact, I can say that it’s actually better than some of the $20+ blushes I tried from department stores. What I like about it is that it’s finely milled, and has just a tiny hint of pearlescent shine to give off a healthy glow. I would definitely repurchase this one again!

Dickinson’s Witch Hazel
So I heard about this one on MakeupAlley through the great rating it got and the wonderful reviews by a lot of the people on the site. A word of warning, however, this product is definitely not for the faint-hearted if you can stand strong smells. Some people find the stuff really offensively odorous, but I just got used to it after using it a few times (the first time was definitely a kicker though). I like it because it’s really good for balancing and bringing clarity to my skin.

Nivea Crème
This smells pretty good and I really like it because it’s super cheap. I got the little tin, which I pop in my bag and totally forget about until I find that my hands are really dry (in which case, I remember my Nivea Crème and dig it out of my bag). It’s hydrating and thick without being overly greasy, and I like that it has a slightly citrus-y refreshing smell to it.

Rimmel Nail Polish
Rimmel is a brand that I really like because I’ve found that for its prices, the products tend to be pretty good. My favorite products by Rimmel is probably their nail polishes, which I had the chance to try out for the first time last week. I got a color in a hazy eggplant shade, which also came with a free top/base coat. I’ve been wearing this nail polish for about 12 days, and all my nails still aren’t chipped! This is rivaling my OPI polishes!

E.L.F Makeup Brushes
My favorite find recently is probably E.L.F brushes. I had absolutely no idea they were all around the couple-bucks range until I stumbled across them by accident at Target. The studio line carries some fantastic brushes…and they are great quality as well!
