Neutral Colors "Nail" It for the New Year
Neutral Colors &Quot;nail" It for the New Year
Go Neutral With Your Nails
Neon colors and alternating shades were on people's hot lists, as was metallics and intricate designs. Nail stickers also made a surge throughout beauty blogs and videos last year and showed up in drugstores all over. But with what I believe to be the "new trend" in nails, neutral will be the way to go.
The good news is that a neutral nail keeps things looking polished, classy, professional, and chic all at the same time. The most important thing is to keep your nails in good condition. I like to keep mine short because they are easier to keep clean. Whenever I wear a lot of color on my nails, it can start to make them look a little yellow whenever I take the color off. I then go a couple weeks without any color at all, and use a clear strengthening coat to keep nails healthy.
For the neutral look, there are tons of colors to choose from: white, beige, taupe, light pinks, the list goes on and on with the colors you can use to keep a neutral tone to your nails. My favorite is taupe because it is easy to apply without too many smudges showing up. Great brands include Essie, OPI and Love & Beauty (the beauty product line from Forever 21) for the best neutral colors.
Want to buck the trends for a few months and keep things neutral? Try a few subtle shades to keep your polish pretty. What's your favorite neutral shade?
