Learn About New Must-Try Makeup Products

The beauty industry is ever-evolving, changing with the times as new technology, new ideas, and new concepts arise in the cosmetic world. Spring is just around the corner, and with new cosmetic collections blooming everywhere, it’s time to consider what products are worth spending money on this season.

Pantone has declared tangerine the color of the year. The sunny shade’s influence can be seen throughout a number of cosmetic collections. Citrus shades have taken over, in the form of bright-yellow eye shadows, bold orange lips, and more.

Spring brings about a desire for lighter-than-air formulations in both makeup and skincare. In terms of skin coverage, the tinted moisturizer trend continues to go strong. Many women are eschewing heavier products, like cream and liquid foundations, in favor of the light, easy coverage of a tinted moisturizer. Not only do tinted moisturizers provide an even skin tone, they can also offer essential moisture, SPF, and good-for-the-skin ingredients. NARS just introduced a new line of tinted moisturizers, called Pure Radiance, specifically designed to meet the needs of almost every skin tone.

Continuing in the direction of lighter textures, Make Up For Ever recently launched a new formulation, Rouge Artist Natural, as an addition to their wildly popular Rouge Artist line of lipsticks. The new formulation is a sheerer version of the popular lipsticks, with less opacity, and decidedly more gloss than their opaque counterparts. Keep your eye out for new shades, debuting as part of the La Boheme collection.

As always, warm-weather color palettes are awash with pastel shades. Soft looks and bright colors are always in style for spring. Look to celebs, like Jena Malone, for inspiration on how to make these shades work for you.

oh my goodness - I can't believe that's Jena Malone! Remember her from Stepmom anyone? I love her skin. It looks so creamy and soft and delicate. This comment has been removed.
