When you wear eye glasses, your eye makeup can make or break your look. Your eyes become the focal point of your face when you slip on glasses, so your makeup must be meticulous, especially when the lenses have a tendency to alter the appearance of your eyes. It's not so much the shape and color of your fames that determines how you should apply your eye makeup, but the prescription itself. Nearsighted? Farsighted? If you are nearsighted, your glasses will likely make your eyes appear smaller than they really are. Opt for more dramatic makeup in the form of liquid eyeliner, applied with a steady hand, and extra mascara (black is best).

If you are farsighted, your glasses will make your eyes appear larger than they really are. While this can be flattering (everyone loves a pair of doe eyes) the magnifying effect can be brutal, especially if you are prone to bloodshot eyes. Line the inner rim of your lower lashes with a white pencil to eliminate any redness caused by allergies and be sure to take extra precaution when applying mascara and blending your eye shadow. For the purposes of this look, you can actually just apply eyeshadow with your fingers. Just make sure you're blending it out evenly. If, on the other hand, you're contouring and working with darker shadows where there's less room for error, you would have to apply with a brush. This comment has been removed.

If you're worried about red eyes, you can also use a blue-tinted liner. The blue tone counteracts the redness in the eye and is an instant pick-me-up. This comment has been removed.
