TAAZ Makeover Tips
How to Get the Best Out of the TAAZ Makeover Feature:
Step 1: Choosing a suitable photo...High quality: This will make the makeup appear more realistic, and it easier to outline features. It also avoids 'blocks' of colour appearing instead of a smooth makeup application.
Head-on: (or near enough) This avoids eye shadow spilling onto the background, awkwardly-shaped lips, and eyelashes pointing in every direction except the right one.
Barely edited: When you edit a photo, its quality decreases, so all the reasons for choosing high-quality apply here as well.
Well-lit: This ensures that colours are more accurate. An evenly-lit face will also give a higher-quality finish.
Also, crop off any excess image to make your face clearer.
Step 2: Don't trust the blue boxes!Your eyes and mouth may be completely inside the blue boxes, but there's no way of telling the shape that has been detected inside those boxes. Therefore, I recommend that for a higher quality finish (if you have the time) that you click 'no' and define the facial features yourself, more precisely.
Tip: If your pupils are off-centre inside your irises, keep the inner circle completely inside the pupil, so that all of the iris changes colour when contacts are applied.
Step 3: Don't be afraid to tone it down.Let's be honest: the clown look has never been attractive. The amount of colour you need to apply for each picture will vary with the tone of the image and the brightness. Don't be afraid to lessen the amount of it for a more subtle appearance.
A good tip for makeup, in general, is to either highlight the eyes or the lips, and not both. Concentrate on one or the other.
Step 4: Adjust, adjust, adjust! To adjust the makeup once it has been applied, hover over the image and blue dots will appear. I recommend that you zoom in to make placement more accurate. In this image, the model's right eyeliner needs shrinking to the shape of her right eye, the eye shadow needs straightening up, the lipstick needs fitting to her lips, hair colour needs removing from the background, and blusher needs evening out. She could also do with toning down a few things.
I hope these little tips will help you out! Please comment if you have any feedback or any other tips to add for other users! :) x
