How to Make Lipstick Last
lipstick

1. Prep with a base.
Use lip liner before it will keep your lipstick from bleeding, says Sabrina. It doesn't have to match your lipstick exactly, just choose something as close as possible to your own lip color (and stay away from the dreaded dark liner!)

2. Use tissue.
If you're using a regular lipstick (not long lasting), after applying a first coat, blot with a tissue, dab a little powder on your lips and re-apply your lipstick, she says. It will make the color more vibrant and make it last longer.

3. Keep it off your teeth.
Last, put your finger (or Q-tip) in your mouth to remove excess in the inside of the lips to avoid getting it all over your teeth, she says. This will ensure your lipstick stays on your lips and not in your mouth!

4. Make a commitment.
For a look that doesn't come right off after you take a sip of coffee, use a long lasting lipstick or a lip stain. You'll spend less time reapplying.
