Eyebrows—bushy or skinny—can transform your look with the pinch of tweezers. If you covet bigger brows, do something about it. It takes at least four weeks to grow your eyebrows to their full potential, but you create Brooke Shields-inspired eyebrows with these makeup tricks, or sculpt your brows in our virtual makeover studio.
Eyebrows should begin at the inner corners of the eyes and extend all the way to the outer corners (many women have short brows that need to be extended toward the ear with a pencil). Brush them upward with a comb or wand brush—this gives the illusion of greater width and you can create this illusion every time you leave the house by setting your brows with a bit of clear mascara. Trim stray hairs with scissors.
Fill in your eyebrows, working outward from your nose, with a pencil that’s the same color than your hair. You can use a brow stencil if you have a hard time achieving symmetry. Brush on the color in short, soft, feathery strokes and begin along the underside of the brow. The goal is to build up the arch. Blend with a comb or wand brush and maximize volume with a hint of tinted eyebrow powder applied to the tops of the arches. Highlight the brow bone with a pearly white eye shadow for maximum effect. --Stephanie Simons
Hey there! eyebrow shapes are pretty unique on every face shape, but a good general guideline is this: for rounder faces, you want more arched brows; for oval faces, flatter (less of an arch) brows); for square faces, tapered/slightly curved brows; regular shape faces, medium arch. hope that's helpful!! :)This comment has been removed.
