There are often questions in the TAAZ “Advice” section about the quality of e.l.f. makeup products and tools. After all, the e.l.f. brand is very affordable compared to a lot of makeup brands out there, so it's only natural to be skeptical about their products. Are they too good to be true?
Out of curiosity, I've been testing out a lot of e.l.f. products lately and am happy to report that the hype is warranted. Most of their products are fantastic, especially for the price! Here's my list of five e.l.f. products makeup lovers simply must try.

1) e.l.f. Studio Mineral-Infused Face Primer ($6). This face primer is light, smooth and perfect for everyday wear. I admit I was VERY skeptical about this primer because of the extremely low price. I usually stick to Photo Finish primer by Smashbox or the Sephora-brand primer, but I was really satisfied with this e.l.f. formula. I think this is a good primer to use between the pricier ones. It gives your makeup really good staying-power.

2) e.l.f. Nail Polish Remover Pads ($2 for 24 pads). I know I raved about these last week, but seriously, these pads are amazing! They smell great (like citrus) and one tiny little pad can be used to remove nail polish from both hands. They leave your cuticles very hydrated and seem to have some sort of oil ingredient. They remove even dark polish in a flash and come in a handy little compact that's perfect for travel.

3) e.l.f. Studio 11-Piece Brush Collection ($30). This kit is a serious steal. You get 11 professional makeup brushes for the eyes and face for $30. I bought this kit back in December using a special promo code and got it for only $2.12! Unbelievable. The quality of the brushes is comparable to more expensive brands and they come in a great black zipper case. Even without that stellar deal, I would've still been happy purchasing this set for $30. The complexion and blush brushes in the kit are especially nice.

4) e.l.f. Studio Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder ($3). This little face kit includes a darker bronze powder for contouring the cheekbones and a light pink blush with gold undertones for highlighting. This blends really well and adds a great glow to the face.

5) e.l.f. Studio Angled Eyeliner Brush ($3). Before discovering this eyeliner brush, I spent $20+ on similar brushes by Smashbox. I bought this on a whim at Target and when I compared it to my other angled liner brushes, I discovered they were practically the same! Except, of course, this one was only $3. This brush creates a perfectly controlled, fine line and is super easy to clean. I highly recommend this brush if you like a thinner eyeliner line on the eye or for applying winged eyeliner.

Now, your turn to dish, ladies. What are your favorite e.l.f. products?

@vamp1967, the stippling brush in the Studio Collection kit is awesome. I use it mostly when I wear loose powder, but it can be used to apply liquid foundation as well. This comment has been removed.
