If you have a milky white complexion, don't pile on the bronzer or you run the risk of looking like you tried too hard, plus the color can cling in some areas and rub off in others, leaving you spotted. There are less expected ways to glow using summer's vibrant makeup palette. Bright colors actually look better on fair skin than on tan skin. That means bright pinks, reds and tangerines are totally fair game, girls.

Light skin requires blush. No ifs, ands or buts. Even if you're wearing a bright lip color, you'll need a hint of barely-there color to complete your look. Instead of powder blush, try a bright pink lip gloss on your cheeks. The look is dewy and sheer and totally perfect for summer.

Because of its pink undertones, there is nothing so stunning as coral lipstick set against a creamy complexion, as evidenced by the model here. Amplify the effect with an apricot blusher and eye shadow in the same color family. The effect is fresh, modern and completely up-to-date.

Blue-based eye shadows (think aqua and lavender) will perk up a pale complexion on contact. Choose sheer textures, apply it only to the eye lids, and blend the color well with a brush so you don't wind up looking like you belong on stage in Vegas.

I feel like the colors are pretty arbitrary here because you can be fair and be either WARM or COOL in skin tone. if you're warm, then there's host of colors that will look better, and wearing cool colors will make your complexion look dull and unattractive (and vice versa) This comment has been removed.
