How to Wear Coral Lipstick for the Spring
The beauty of this color is that it brings light to the face, automatically giving it a fresh and vibrant look. Makeup artist Lina Hanson recommends to “keep the rest of the face neutral so that it doesn’t compete with the face.”
For a flawless application, prep your lips with a moisturizer. Keep in mind that lipsticks with medium to full coverage tend to dry the lips. Dab a lip moisturizer and be sure to get it right in the crease and let sit for 15 minutes. Mean while you may do you face makeup, leaving the lipstick application last. This will assure that product has penetrated correctly.
To apply the lipstick utilize a lip brush and apply the lip color starting in the center of the lips. Using a lip brush will provide more control over the application. Fill in the middle of your lips first, and then line the edges with the same brush. Be sure to stay inside the lips. Lining the lips after applying lipstick will result in an even application.
Set your lipstick by blotting it with a tissue paper, and then applying one more stroke of color with your brush. Finish off by applying loose powder to the corner of your mouth, bottom of the lip, and right above cupids bow. This will stop the lipstick from bleeding into those sections.
