Plan Some Office-Appropriate Halloween Fun

Work Friendly Halloween Costume
While wigs, costumes, and masks might be appropriate for a Halloween party, they aren’t necessarily appropriate for the work environment. That in mind, here are a couple of suggestions for those looking to add a few festive touches to their Halloween workday.

Accessorize with your favorite hat, ears, glasses, or even pin. Office dress code permitting, a well-placed accessory is sometimes all you really need to capture the essence of a costume.

Opt for a fun makeup accent, such as an orangey-red lip, to up the festive factor without going all out with a costume or ensemble.

Ask around, to see what everyone else is doing. When in doubt, double check with your boss and/or the HR department to make sure you are all in order.

Impersonate another coworker (unless they’re in on the joke), especially your boss. Office politics can be tricky, and you don’t want to needlessly offend someone.

Dress provocatively. If you have an office dress code, make sure you stick to it.

Come into work with anything that makes noise, or might distract others from getting their jobs done.

Even in a work environment, there is no reason not to get festive with these Halloween DOs and DON'Ts!

These are good tips. I know everyone at my work did not follow them. I just played it safe and wore a witch's hat. This comment has been removed.
