Steal My Style: Retro Color Blocking
Adina Zilberman gives the color blocking trend a retro vibe
Today's look is brought to you by the color orange, or at least that is what I would like to think. In an effort to experiment with even more colors in my wardrobe, I channeled my inner retro-girl in this color-blocked, old-school look.
I just bought a new pair of J Crew cropped pants that I absolutely love, and I wanted this look to revolve around them. The pants are an orange hue, so I decided to pair them with a fairly simple black, cap-sleeved, button-down shirt. As for accessories, I opted for an amazingly bright La Mer bracelet watch, and my usual ring and earrings.
My makeup is noteworthy in and of itself. This past weekend was the NYC makeup show, so I knew that I needed to bring my A-game. I opted to rock matte eye shadows from Make Up For Ever, which perfectly matched my pants. I achieved a sculpted check using NARS blush in Desire, and gave color to my lips with their Matte Velvet Lip Pencils in Sex Machine and Bolero (man, I love those names).
All in all, I'm pretty pleased with how this look turned out. What do you think?
