Steal My Style: Color Blocking, Round Two
Adina Zilberman adds a new twist to her color-blocked look
In this edition of Steal My Style, I’ve got a variation on last week’s white-and-bright color blocking experiment. You can see how a quick color-palette change can result in a totally different look. The color blocking trend makes it super easy to create many different outfits, just by replacing one bold hue with another. It’s ideal for us gals that are always on the go.
This whole look was purchased from the Rock & Republic collection available at Kohl’s. This time, I switched out my sheer, blue, button-down shirt for a bright, studded, orange-red linen blazer. If there was ever a color that screams fun in the sun, bright orange is it! Paired with crisp, white pants and bright-blue pumps, this is a look that I could easily wear on a casual day at the office, or out on the town.
Hair and makeup were kept fairly simple, with a very high bun, and a bright lip color. Of course I had to wear my Marc by Marc Jacobs frames, to block out all that bright sunshine, while stylishly protecting my sensitive peepers.
Which look do you prefer, the orange or blue? How do you feel about spring’s color blocking trend?
