I am a girl of many faces, that much is true. In this edition of Steal My Style, I cover my business look!

You may not know this about me, but I work a 9-5 (or 8-6, if you will) in finance. That means for about 8 to 9 hours a day, I have on my business face, and subsequently, business attire. One of my recent splurges was a custom-tailored suit from Hugo Boss, and while the price tag was rather large, it was worth every penny.

The basic suit is composed of a button-down shirt, a blazer, and, of course, a pair of slacks. Since I am rather pale, I opted to go with a softly pinstriped dark grey, instead of a hard-black color. Both jacket and pants were tailored to my unique specifications.

Since I am a firm believer in getting maximum versatility from items that come with such a hefty price tag, I also opted to purchase the complementary pencil dress that matches the jacket. With these three key pieces, I have endless wardrobe possibilities.

Hair and makeup should always match the environment. For my business look, I always keep my hair up and out of my face. In these photos, I have my hair gathered in a tight, traditional braid. Makeup wise, I try to keep my face clean and easy. Tinted moisturizer, bronzer, blush, mascara, a bit of black liner on the waterline, and a lip stain are all I am wearing. The whole beauty look took me eight minutes, tops!

That left hand picture looks to me an awful like a man's business suit, minus the tie and proportioned a little differently for a woman's body. By the way, they really look good. That's great the women have the freedom to wear something like that. Unfortunately for us males, who are really chicken in trying new things, of course there is no option for us to wear skirt suits, dresses, and heels and be mainstream. -- John This comment has been removed.
