New Year’s Eve is the perfect time to sparkle and shine, in the beauty sense of course! The grand finale of the holiday season, New Year’s Eve gives many the opportunity to wear looks that are bolder, bigger, and brighter than the rest. This time around, ensure that all eyes are on you, with this fabulous makeup application.

Any good makeup look begins with a great foundation, and for an evening like New Year’s, your base is more important than ever. With an entire night’s worth of celebrating, you will want to create a look that goes the distance, and eliminates the need to touch up. First, begin by prepping the face with your primer of choice, preferably one tailored to your specific skin type. Follow up with foundation, a bronzer to contour, blush to liven, and highlighter, to spotlight your fabulous cheekbones. This will ensure that your complexion is as lively as the occasion.

Nothing says festive like a smoky eye, and this particular holiday is the time to experiment with metallic colors. First, apply an eye primer, to ensure that any product you apply stays put. Follow up with bright metallic silver shadow, applied from lash line to crease. Next, apply a darker shadow in the outer v, and in the crease, to add instant depth and drama—try a black, gunmetal, green, or blue color. Line both the upper and lower lash line, and apply a generous coat of mascara. For a little extra sparkle, apply a pop of glitter liner and a pair of false lashes.

Finish up with your favorite nude lipstick, or sheer red if you are feeling extra bold, for a look that screams drop dead gorgeous.

When in doubt, look to the stars for inspiration. Abigail Breslin nailed the metallic-blue smoky eye at the premiere of her latest film, New Year’s Eve. Follow her lead, and let your eyes make a statement of their own.

Sparkle and shine on New Year’s Eve, with this fabulous metallic look.

@arpitsg Sounds like you are describing hyperpigmentation, which is caused by increased melanin production. I recommend you consult with a specialist. This comment has been removed.
