Makeup and Hair Ideas Fit for a Medusa Costume

Medusa Makeup Looks
While it seems that a Medusa costume would be quite complicated to emulate on your own, a little creative thinking will take you a long way to mimic her mythical allure. Try on Medusa makeup in our virtual makeup studio.

Medusa's hair is made up of living, hissing snakes. Anyone who looked at her was instantly turned to stone (it must have been hard for her to get a date, no?). Get a Medusa-inspired look by wearing eerie contacts in a spell-binding shade like yellow, light green or pale blue.

To style your hair like Medusa, create tiny braids all over your head and twist them into snake-like formation, holding them in place with bobby pins. You can spraypaint a thick rope in a brilliant shade of gold or green, let it dry for days, and loop the rope around your head again and again like spiraled snakes.

Dress in snakeskin from head to toe, don snake jewelry (a snake arm cuff looks killer) and do your eye makeup like a grand dame by using full strips of false lashes and get-noticed crystals glued to the inner and outer corners of each eye.  –Stephanie Simons

Wow...this is too gorgeous to be Medusa! She's supposed to be so repulsive that she turns onlookers into stone! This comment has been removed.

A more accurate Medusa would be making your face as ugly as ugly gets lol...but I guess this is a neat concept! :P This comment has been removed.
