Sexy Pirate Makeup Looks
Step 1: Sexy Pirate Face MakeupStart by applying a primer to your skin (we like Make Up For Ever HD Make Up Primer). Primer is important because it helps even out the surface of the skin and allows for a perfect and easy foundation application. For this look you want to use a liquid foundation (liquid foundation gives your skin a youthful dewy look). You can set the foundation with a loose powder, but if you can, go with a translucent powder to maintain the original finish of the foundation.
For blush, use a flat burnt orange shade; we used Make Up For Ever Powder Blush in Rust Orange 48. Apply this deep brownish orange shade to the contour of your cheekbones, adding depth to the hollow of your cheeks.
Step 2: Sexy Pirate Eye MakeupYou want to start by applying a base color that is similar to your skin tone, to the entire eye, from your lash line to your brow bone.
Next, line the eye and create a sexy cat eye effect. Start at the inner corner of the eye, right at the lash line, and begin working your way toward the outer corner of your eye. You want to do this on both the top and bottom lids. Gently, flick the corner upwards to achieve this subtle cat effect. We recommend using Bobbi Brown Limited Edition Kohl Eyeliner in New Black. this effect will also make your lashes look more voluminous.
Step 3: Sexy Pirate EyeshadowOnce your eyes are lined, apply a dark eye shadow. We like L'Oreal Studio Secrets Professional Eyeshadow Singles in Lush Raven because this eye shadow applies evenly and blends well. Using an eye shadow brush, begin applying your color at the lash line, working the color through the lid. When you reach the crease area, you want to be sure to define the outside corner of your eye, recreating a horizontal v-shape. This technique will add a deepening effect to your eyes, making them appear bigger. Be careful not to bring the color too high on the lid otherwise it might be too intense. Now take a fluffy brush and blend the edges so that there are no harsh lines.
Step 4: Sexy Pirate LashesHighlight the brow with a pearl eye shadow and blend downward to ease the dark contour of the previous color. This will also make your eyes pop and add depth to the smoky eye.
Finish the look with false lashes to intensify your eyes.
Step 5: Sexy Pirate LipsKeep your lips simple and sexy by using a red lipstick. We like M.A.C. Pro Longwear Lipcreme in Extended Play Blackened Brick Red. You want your lips to have a natural cherry color, so apply it lightly to stain the lips. This lipstick lasts up to 12 hours without applying a top coat, it won't feather and your lips stay soft and hydrated.
Step 6: Sexy Pirate Hat & HairStyle your hair in rumpled pirate waves using a large-barrel curling iron. The waves should not look constructed, so give them a toss to give them a messy look. You can get this Sexy Pirate hat at Costume Super Center .
