Your bags are all packed, and now you just need to plan what you’re wearing to the airport. You could go in sweats, but what would be the fun in that?! Why not be prepped and photo-ready for the first day of your vacation! Here’s your one chance to dress the part of a stylish jetsetter!
Step 1: Chic Carry-On
You’ll want to carry your book, magazines or iPad in something stylish and eye-catching! Go for something in print or neon!
Step 2: Fun Flats
Unless they’re wedges or you’re going to Vegas, don’t do heels. Flats are comfortable and reliable. You never know if you’re plane gets delayed or you’ll have to be on your feet for a lengthy period of time. You want to be able to walk from point A to point B comfortably. Plus, leopard or brightly colored flats are on trend right now!
Step 3: Scarf
The right scarf can brighten up any outfit, and there’s a ton of fun ways to wear them. Also, airports and planes can get chilly, so it’ll come in handy to wrap yourself in. Not to mention, they convert into great pillows and lap blankets during your trip as well!
Step 4: Oversized Sunglasses
Wayfarers, aviators or cat eye, oversized sunglasses can elevate your outfit to first class. They are a travel must-have! Don’t leave home without them.
Step 5: Minimal Makeup
Let’s think about this one. You want to arrive at your destination looking fresh and ready for a fabulous trip. For one, you don’t want to wear a FULL FACE of makeup that will melt off during the airplane ride. So make sure that you spend a little time getting ready before heading to the airport. I highly recommend tinted moisturizer or sheer-to-medium foundation, mascara, blush/bronzer and a little lip stain or balm. Remember to pack in your purse your blush and translucent powder to touch up upon arrival.
