Makeup goes full-throttle green for Saint Patrick's Day

If you want to create a rich effect and look totally, unabashedly glamorous on Saint Patrick's Day, reach for olive green and gold eye shadows. This combo is sure to keep you from getting pinched and it will make you look fabulous even while devouring the requisite corned beef and cabbage.
Apply the olive green shadow to your lid with your finger, using a patting motion. Patting the color onto the skin will intensify it, especially if the shadow is wet. Once you've reached the desired color intensity for your lid, use a clean finger to pat a bit of gold eye shadow onto the center of the lid and under the browbone. Accent this look with black eyeliner and loads of lush false lashes. Mascara can be black, green, even purple if you dare.
If you're feeling playful on Saint Patrick's day, wear makeup that calls to mind the pot of gold at end of the rainbow. Paint your lids gold and use thin or fat eyeliner pencils to draw rainbows winging out from each eye (you'll need hard-to-find colors such as red, orange, yellow, gree, blue and purple). --Stephanie Simons
