Sex and the City Hair Lessons
SATC: All's Fair in Love and Locks
Much of our dating wisdom we’ve learned from watching the disappointments endured by Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte—and much of our hair savvy we also credit to these iconic characters. We revisit the mane lessons every woman should know. All’s fair in love and locks, ladies….
The Carrie: A change of hair color can temporarily provide relief from a broken heart. After being duped at the altar by Mr. Big, Carrie underwent the unthinkable transformation, turning her blond hair brown to match her down-and-out mood and reinforcing that a rich brown hue will always communicate you’re taking life more seriously.
The Miranda: When surrounded by friends who are infinitely sexier than you, choose a hair color that will get you noticed. Miranda has had red hair since Sex And The City’s first episode and she wouldn't have been as memorable any other way, even with her fiery personality.
The Charlotte: Great hair will make every other woman envy you even when the rest of your life is a shambles. Even when she Poughkeepsied in her pants and married a party-pooper, Charlotte’s ever-stylish, ever-conservative hairstyle diverted our attention.
The Samantha: You don’t need long hair to be sexy. When Samantha lost her hair to cancer, she still radiated sex appeal, proving it’s all about the attitude. In earlier Sex And The City episodes, she also proved that every unmarried woman needs a gay male friend to speak the truth about her style, whether the issue at hand is bad bangs or a pink marabou nightgown.
