Use Hot Rollers to Get Perfect Curls

From runway to real life, a head full of flawless curls has become a must-have look. One of the easiest and foolproof ways to achieve perfect curls is to utilize a set of hot rollers. A hot roller set is one of the best hair styling tools to have in your beauty arsenal; discover your options and become a master of hot roller technique.

Hot rollers are heating cylinders used to create curls in the hair. Typical hot roller sets include rollers, securing clips, and a box, or case, to heat everything in. The price of a hot roller set can range anywhere from thirty to fifty dollars, making it an incredibly affordable option.

Using a hot roller set can be easier than using a traditional curling iron. After giving the rollers time to heat up, take a piece of hair approximately one-inch thick, wrap it firmly around a roller, and use a clip to secure it in place. Be sure to hold rollers by their ends, to avoid burned fingers. Repeat the process until the entire head of hair is rolled. Beginning with the section of hair you wrapped first, remove the rollers one by one. The longer you allow the rollers to cool in your hair, the tighter the curl will be.

Hot rollers are a great choice when time is a factor. Set your hair in the rollers, and do your makeup while they cool. No need to wrap and hold hair around a too-hot curling iron, or worry about missing a piece. An added perk: because hair cools while molded around the rollers, this method ensures that curls stay springy, which isn’t always the case with traditional curling irons. Hot rollers come in a number of different sizes; remember that the smaller the rollers, the tighter curls will be. Run fingers through hair for undone waves and volume, or brush curls out for a maximum volume effect, a la Farrah Fawcett.

Invest in a set of hot rollers to get curls that are perfect—every time!

My mom has hot rollers and the curls stay in my hair 30 minutes: tops. It might just be the brand (Conair) but I reeally think it is my hair type. My hair will only curl with the baby curls curling iron. However, if my hair did curl will hot rollers, this article would be very useful! Great article :) This comment has been removed.

How much time does it take to use hot rollers? Is it very time consuming? Been curious about them but they seem like a hassle. This comment has been removed.

Great article! Love hot rollers! I like really soft, loose curls so I don't leave them in that long and then I run my fingers through my hair and spray. So much easier than a curling iron! This comment has been removed.
