How to Combat Frizzy Hair This Fall

Fight Fall Frizz
If there is one thing that is ever-present during the fall season, it’s constant, unrelenting, moisture in the air. This translates to dominating, unsightly frizz in our otherwise lustrous manes. Fortunately, we come prepared with frizz-busting essentials.

The fight against frizz begins in the shower, with a great shampoo and conditioner combination. Shampoos and conditioners will not only cleanse the hair of dirt, debris, and general gunk buildup, but will also provide much needed moisture and nutrients to the hair. Moisturized hair is frizz-free hair, any day of the week.

Next up, the styling product you select can go a long way toward preventing unsightly frizz and fly-away hairs. Opt for a cream or oil serum-styled product, designed to not only weigh your hair down, before you take a heat tool to it, but also to nourish, enrich, protect, and moisturize. Items labeled anti-frizz are safe bets when selecting the product that will ultimately go the distance for you. If your hair is thin to normal, a pea-sized amount of serum should do. For thicker, harder to manage hair, use a quarter-sized dollop of cream.

When drying the hair, opt for a blow dryer that is equipped with ionic technology. These dryers will dry your hair in half the time—and they also deposit hair smoothing ions, ensuring that styled hair will remain smooth and frizz free longer.

Last but not least, a finishing cream is the icing on the proverbial cake. What the finisher does is add shine and more weight, which once again ensures that your styled hair remains in place and not up in the air.

Armed with these quick fixes, frizzy hair will be the last thing on your mind this fall.

Moroccan Oil does wonders!!! Just put a tiny drop in your palm and smooth through your hair while it is damp before you blow dry. This comment has been removed.

Does anyone have a frizz fighter they can swear by? I feel like I've tried them all, but nothing seems to work well on my very fine hair. This comment has been removed.
