DIY Darker Hair
Garnier-HerbaShine
Catherine Zeta Jones
Every year I tell myself that I might switch up my hair color and go for something darker, but then I always back down because I don’t want to end up looking goth! I wish I was a celebrity who could just head to the salon no problem and change their hair color every week if they wanted to. Remember when Catherine Zeta-Jones had her hair that slightly lighter color – her hair is amazing! I’d like my hair to look EXACTLY like that. But seriously, I’ve been looking through magazines and seeing different colors and styles and dark is definitely in for fall.

Maybe just as the wardrobe changes to heavier clothing and more layers and makeup changes to deeper colors and more moisturizer, so should I be thinking of a change in hair color. Right? Well luckily for me, my friend wanted to change her hair color too so I told her she could be the guinea pig and go first. And I have to say…she looks fantastic!
We used a more auburn color for her from Garnier HerbaShine line and I think it was easier having me help her rather than her doing it herself to make sure everything got covered, especially the roots. Her hair just looks richer and fuller and beautiful.

I’ve done a few Taaz makeovers trying to find just the right color to choose and hope that I can choose a similar color whenever I decide to bite the bullet and go for it. I like how it makes my eyes look greener. I know darker hair always seems to be the trend for the fall and winter months so maybe it’s time I try it. I have to find one that’s not too light, not too dark, but one that’s just right.
