Superstar songstress Christina Aguilera has never been afraid to go bold with her look. Even from her early days, she was always pushing the envelope with the trends she tried. These days she flaunts her figure as a judge on one of my favorite shows, The Voice, and her makeup always looks impeccable. But recently, she has stepped out with a brand new trend to make her stand out: dip-dyed hair!

Her platinum blonde, wavy locks are now sporting some serious attitude with hot pink and purple hues highlighting the ends. And she looks great! This trend definitely matches her sassy style, but she also keeps the look soft and feminine by allowing her natural hair color flow into the lighter purple and pink strands.

Her hair looks absolutely amazing both paired in a somewhat matchy-matchy, body-hugging dress and also, pulled back into an elegant, simple ponytail and a black, sexy gown. She doesn't back off her dynamic makeup either, painting her lips a bright pink hue and always having her eyes done up. Such a strong style is a breeze to pull off if you have the confidence that Christina carries. Her style motto seems to be: go bold or go home!

Want to try the look at home? One of my favorite YouTube beauty stars, Kandee Johnson, has a great video on hair chalking if you are wanting to try this look temporarily. If you want something more permanent, there are also DIY videos you can follow, but I would really put that trust into the hands of a professional.

Depending on the color of your hair and the color of dye you choose, you can carry this trend right into winter. Personally, I’d like to dip dye my hair a dark red, which isn’t as daring, but still something worth trying. What do you think of the dip-dye hair trend? Do or Don’t?

I think it looks cool on her, but she needs to style it appropriately. Otherwise, it can look not so classy. This comment has been removed.

@Lacey4 I agree. I like how it looks but it looks like it would take a lot of maintenance. Plus, not sure how my boss would feel about it. ;) This comment has been removed.
