Take your cues from your bridal bouquet and accessorize your hair with live orchids, gardenias or exotic flowers your guests have never before seen. You'll elicit oohs and aahs when you tuck a flower behind one ear, especially if you plan on exchanging I Dos on the beach. This flower-centric look is fetching with a ponytail or bun worn low on the nape of the neck.
Wrap a vintage necklace or string of pearls around the base of a low ponytail, or drape it around an updo for a pretty effect. You can also use your favorite brooch, passed down through generations, as a bridal hair accessory. Attach it to your bridal hairstyle by removing the pin and gluing it to a piece of fabric. Pin the fabric with a few strategically placed bobby pins.
A fresh, flirty ponytail works for a casual wedding because it strikes the perfect balance betwen sophisticated and playful. Fancy ribbons will glam up your wedding ponytail in a pinch. If you wrap a textured ribbon around your hairstyle, don't let the ends dangle longer than the ends of your ponytail to keep the look neat. Tease the crown for volume, gather loose curls low and to the side for a romantic wedding look your groom will love. --Stephanie Simons
A really good cheap investment for keeping your hair locked in place is some sort of generic freezing hairspray (just be sure that the product doesn't flake or make the hair look wet when dries). I've used really cheap ultra-hold hairsprays before for formal events and it was definitely a good call :DThis comment has been removed.
