How to Transition Your Winter Wardrobe Into Spring Pieces

Now that spring is coming up (in over a month’s time), it’s a good idea to begin preparing our wardrobe for the new season. Here are a few tips on how you can easily transition your winter clothing into spring pieces without having to completely revamp your wardrobe.

Hold onto all the layer-able pieces from the winter.
I find that it’s always helpful to go through my winter wardrobe to see what layer-able pieces I own so that I don’t wind up purchasing too much new spring clothing each year. This means keeping track of your thinner cardigans, breathable tops, and even thin scarves.

Hold onto your tights and leggings.
While they may be too hot for the summer (depending on where you live), tights and leggings are oftentimes a requisite for autumn, winter, and spring weather. They’re versatile, and you’ll definitely need them for spring.

Begin organizing your coats and jackets.
Once winter is at its end, you’ll most likely have no need for that heavy duty snow jacket that has safely saw you through the blizzard-y season. Separate your jacket and coat rack from thinnest to heaviest in material…trust me, you’ll find it much more easy to sort through on those days when you’re scrambling to dress quickly and get your foot out the door.

Follow these few simple guidelines, and you’re already light-years ahead in getting ready for the spring season.
