Few items in a woman's wardrobe feel more empowering than a perfectly tailored, fitted blazer. Something about the structure of that little jacket makes you stand straighter and exude more confidence.
These days, the blazer is far from boring. In fact, the menswear-inspired piece has completely transformed into a versatile staple every woman should own, in as many tones, textures and patterns as possible.
Today's “statement blazer” trend is mostly defined by bright colors. Fashionistas like Miranda Kerr, Emma Stone and Blake Lively have traded in old, boring black blazers for bright blazers that instantly dress up an outfit. Kerr, for example, turned a pair of classic jeans and a simple white tee into a super stylish, refined look by adding a bright pink blazer.
Emma Stone added a bold green blazer to standard black pants for a more playful fashion statement and Blake Lively added a wild printed blazer to a muted black romper for a fun-meets-chic look.
Striped blazers, lace blazers, leopard print blazers and neon blazers have also been popping up everywhere lately, proving that the fitted jacket trend can go from business to bombshell in seconds. You can wear a blazer to the office by day and out to happy hour or dancing with friends by night. The piece is a fashion chameleon.

What do you think of the modern “statement blazer” trend? Do you own a fun, trendy blazer yet? Which color or pattern would you be most likely to wear?
Come on, ladies, blaze that trail.

I do not even own a blazer but I love some of these looks! I really like the pink one on Miranda and the hot pink one! The animal print one is fun! I think it would be a super cute look for spring with some cropped skinny jeans! What a fun idea.....thanks for sharing! This comment has been removed.
