Work Edition - a Blazer Alternative

bright jeans
lace top

One benefit of my job is working in an environment that allows casual dress all week long. By having such a laid-back structure, this allows employees to really have fun with their style during the week. When my co-worker Rachel had said she had ordered this animal print jacket from Alloy, I couldn't wait to see it.

She did a great job at letting the jacket be the standout by pairing it with slim, black pants, trendy, black flats and a solid, dark shirt underneath. Because of the three-quarter length sleeves and the fact that the fit of the jacket is tailored and not boxy, it becomes a great work alternative to the traditional blazer. It's sharp and stylish, casual and cool.

The print of the jacket also allows it to be worn with a variety of other options. She could pair it with denim jeans and knee boots, colored jeans with a lace or satiny tank top underneath; or even a flared skirt with ankle booties or pumps. A strong fashion statement such as this is a good wardrobe investment because it can be interpreted and styled in several different ways depending on the season, occasion and personal style of the owner.
