The stylish girl is one whose look is both chic and effortless, no matter where she is or what she is doing. She lives an active lifestyle, and isn’t afraid to showcase her fierce fashion sense on the street or at the gym. There are hundreds of fashionable sports attire options out there, perfect for the style-savvy girl that wants to look good at the gym. Here are a few of my favorites:

Under Armour

Under Armour is one brand that has truly set the bar high for exceptional, stylish, and, most importantly, functional workout wear. Offering a ton of options for any woman (or man), and for any sport, it’s no wonder Under Armour has become one of my favorites. In fact, my go-to gym outfit has become the Shatter Compression Capris, the fitted Victory Tank Top, and matching UA headband. Not only do I feel great, but I also stay cool and look cool. The materials are wonderful, and hug my skin comfortably, as I devote hours to getting in shape. Even better, their basics are available in a multitude of fashion-forward colors that change with the seasons. Staying on color trend has never been easier. Prices do vary, but I have been able to snag good deals at the Under Armour Outlet, which is always open online.

The ultimate brand for devout yoga addicts, Lululemon is known for their functional line of sleek and chic basics. With smooth silhouettes and slick materials, Lululemon’s offerings wear beautifully and stay comfortable. The only downside I can see is the lack of bright colors in the collection, and the hefty price tag that comes with many of the items. Lululemon is considered a premium brand, and the prices reflect that. However, if you want to invest in workout attire that will make you look and feel great, definitely check out Lululemon.

There are wonderful apparel options to be found through your favorite sneaker or sporting goods companies. Available at various sporting goods stores, or at the branded stores themselves, you can literally find items in every style, color, and price tag—specifically tailored to the sport of your choosing.

When it comes to fit, my general rule of thumb is the faster and harder you go, the tighter you will want your clothing to be. As for prices, if you have them available to you, definitely check out your local sporting goods outlets. Here in New York, I’m lucky enough to have an Under Armour, Nike, Reebok, Puma, and Adidas outlet, all within a one-hour radius of my apartment. Shop early and shop often for deals on your favorite cool workout wear all year long.

I like these styles. I've gotten most of my sports stuff just from Target and some mid-length work out pants from Forever 21. This comment has been removed.
