How to Wear Silver Eyeshadow for Summer

Silver Eye Shadow Summer 2010
This just in: the latest in statement-making makeup! To give gals an alluringly wide-eyed look for summer, makeup artists are mining silver shadow instead of the usual gold and bronze suspects. A bright, diamond-inspired shade of silver will brighten up the eye area when worn as a base all over the lid, from lashline to crease. You can create a multi-dimensional eye in varying degrees of grey and silver on the lid (light), crease (dark) and lashline (darkest). Or place a speck of iced silver eye shadow at the inner corners of each eye, near the tear duct, for sexy, summer-inspired does eyes.

"Smoke out" shimmering silver shadow by tracing your lashes in charcoal pencil liner, smudged and extended outward at the outer corners of the eyes and blended well with a clean brush. Mixing crushed silver eye shadow with petroleum jelly will give you a makeshift highlighter in a pinch. Wear it on your complexion to spotlight the highpoints of your face (brow bone, cheek bones) to ethereal, candlelit effect.
