I absolutely LOVED checking out all of the coverage of New York Fashion Week online last week. In the process of gawking at the latest high-fashion runway trends, I bookmarked a few of my favorite looks from celebrities attending the shows.
Here are my “Stylish Standouts” for Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week 2012, in no particular order. First up, Jessica Alba in this curve-hugging, color-blocked Michael Kors dress at the Michael Kors fashion show. The bright turquoise color, the cut-out neckline, the opaque black tights, the matching clutch, the bold red lip and manicure. This look was pure perfection, from head to toe.

Also at the Michael Kors show was Stacy Keibler, wearing this muted gray sheath with black detailing. The dress wasn't particularly amazing, but her soft hairstyle and natural makeup really made the look stand out to me. Way to play up your natural beauty, Stace. No wonder George Clooney is crazy about her.

But back to fashion. Stylish starlet Blake Lively looked so chic in this white tuxedo-style dress at the Noon by Noor show. I loved the jewelry and hot pink lipstick, but would've liked to see her hair pulled back in a sleek chignon instead of down. I think it would've added to the sophisticated vibe of her menswear dress.

I also liked the casual yet structured outfits worn by Maria Menounos and Brad Goreski at the Levi's Global Collection show. Since Levi's is a more laid-back brand, I thought these two got their looks just right for the event. Menounos looked pretty in that off-white chiffon top and dark jeans, while Goreski was adorable as always in his signature bowtie, black-rimmed glasses and cardigan.

“Smash” actresses Angelica Houston and Debra Messing also looked lovely at the Michael Kors show. I've never seen Messing wear this bright fuschia color before, and I think it looked gorgeous against her deep red hair. She was like a little burst of brightness.

Finally, “Gossip Girl” star Leighton Meester wore this pretty printed green dress to the Vera Wang show and looked flawless. I loved her haircut, lip color and overall feminine style in this.
