My Street Style: Handbags
Classic black bag
I love handbags and have one for every occasion and always continue to add more to my collection. I typically get my bags from JCPenney, Target or just when I find one that catches my eye when boutique shopping. Also, with friends and family knowing how much I love handbags (and fashion, in general), they are quick to buy one for me as a gift! I have about 30 handbags and clutches, but here are a few of my favorites:

The Classic:

This black, quilted bag with silver chain is my classic go-to bag for all occasions. It can be worn with casual or dressier outfits. It fits quite a bit and embodies class and sass at the same time. I've had people stop me and ask if it's a Marc Jacobs (don't I wish?) when in reality this bag is about four years old and came at the low, low price of $20.

The Work Tote:

I have several "work totes," which basically are purses that are large enough to carry notebooks, pens, my wallet, my phones and sometimes my lunch and whatever else I need to cram in it for the day. This bright blue tote is perfect for holding all of that while bringing a pop of color to any outfit I wear. Whenever I do stray from my comfortable black color, blue is always my second choice.

The Plane Carry-On:

I've learned to pack pretty well for flights. I have a carry-on suitcase and often times take this functional bag, which can hold my small laptop and has pockets for my phone, snacks and Nook. The army green color matches with nothing I have, but seems to coordinate with pretty much everything.

The GNO Crossbody Bag:

This hot pink Jessica Simpson bag was a gift from a friend. Although the color (nor the brand) is not typically my style, I have found this bag to be the perfect addition to my wardrobe. It's deceiving in size because it can actually hold a lot and with it being able to be worn as a crossbody bag, it's perfect for a Girl's Night Out dancing or drinking cocktails. It's flirty and functional - the perfect mix.

The No-Nonsense Bag:

I've had this brown and blue piping Liz Claiborne bag for ten years! I rarely use it anymore because it only has two small pockets and not as much space as my other totes. But, I can't bear to give it away - I mean, it has my initial o it after all. It's a simple, but timeless bag and I'm sure I will hold onto it for another ten years.

@vamp1967 I've never been thought to go to Macy's for purses (guess, I've always thought they'd be too expensive). You're the queen of getting a good deal! :) This comment has been removed.

@vbeauty JCPenney has such a mix. Also, TJ Maxx is a good place for totes or DSW. This comment has been removed.
