How to Rock Lilac Eye Shadow

Lilac Eye Shadow
Lilacs may be synonymous with spring, but the flower's stunning light purple color has emerged as one of winter 2009's hottest eye makeup trends thanks to stars like Vanessa Hudgens who turn the otherwise girly-girl look into something  edgy (simply by incorporating it into an intensely smoky eye). Smoky purple eyes are bolder than black and look great on all eye colors, from baby blue to deepest brown. Apply a pale lilac eye shadow onto your lids and blend a dark plum in the crease. Extend the pale lilac onto your lower lashline with a stiff eyeliner brush, tracing a line from inner corner to outer corner. You can wet the brush to achieve more intensity. Finish the look with charcoal-inspired pencil liner, drawn around the entire eyes (even the tear duct) and inside the delicate bottom lashline ("the waterline"). Forgo purple mascara for a volumizing black. To lighten this look for day time, rim the inside of your lower lashes with white eyeliner pencil instead of black and skip the dark plum color in the crease. Lilac is like the perfect color for anything! This model looks gorgeus is the lilac eyeshadow blended with plum and another silvery color too? This comment has been removed.
