Lace-Up Hiking Bootie Trend

Love It or Hate It?

untitled
Fall is a perfect time for knee-high boots and ankle booties, and one of the biggest bootie trends this year is the “hiking bootie,” a rugged, outdoorsy version of the high-heel ankle boot. Usually, this style has laces up the front and a nice-sized heel – so obviously no mountain climbing in these boots! That could be dangerous in these!
Diane von Furstenberg, Steve Madden and Jessica Simpson have all made cute versions of the “hiking bootie.” Some of them are lined with different types of faux-fur for extra warmth, and some ditch the fur in favor of brassy hardware, like gold studs and gold lace-up holes.
Although it's obviously not the best shoe for camping or hiking, this type of bootie would be really cute for sitting around the campfire at a ski lodge, don't you think? Just picture it: A wintery vest, earmuffs and trendy “hiking booties!” So cute. And, a cup of hot cocoa too. Gotta have hot cocoa after skiing.
The booties pair up nicely with tights, legging or jeggings – any pant slim enough to tuck inside the boot. Also, super cute with a short skirt or dress.
The “hiking bootie.” Do you love it or what?

I'm not sure if this is a trend I would follow necessarily but some of those heels look like they might have a better grip on the bottom. This comment has been removed.
