There is always a lot of wedding activity going on in the summer and through fall. Each wedding has its own theme and style, which leaves you to decide what to wear. One of the biggest deciding factors is where the wedding is going to be. Here are a few ideas to get you started:

Step 1: Beach Wedding
The wedding on the beach at sunset usually calls for a more casual vibe. But before you show up in flip flops and sarong, understand that a wedding is still a special occasion and unless the bridge and groom have specifically said that it's ok, it's best to stay formal. A comfy maxi dress and espadrilles are an easy, beautiful look. Pair with a chunky bracelet and dangly earrings in gold or copper, and you're set to go.
Step 2: Black Tie Affair
Once in awhile the wedding will be a black tie event meaning that a cocktail dress or gown is best. This is where the LBD comes in handy, but if you fear that everyone else will reach for their own LBD's, do something to stand out. Wear a bold, solid color or get some sparkly high heels. Add in some statement jewelry or be inspired and wear a fancy hat! This is a chance to get fancy and put your best foot forward.
Step 3: Church Wedding
A church wedding and reception calls for something pretty and fun. A print dress with a trendy nail polish (like metallics!) and a bright punch of lipstick allows you to be formal enough for a wedding, but fun enough for the reception to follow.
Not a fan of dresses at all? Gray slacks and a silk teal top would be a gorgeous combo or a shorts suit and a great pair of shoes will be a hit. It's about being comfortable, yet stylish and also taking into account the location. Are you heading to a wedding this season? What do you plan to wear?
