Ba da bling! As if inspired by a Trump mansion (or the rocks on Ivana's finger), fashion gets crystal-encrusted for spring 2010 with sparkling baubles bedecking everything from otherwise basic tees to sunglasses and sky high shoes. The runways were all about tripping the light fantaaztic this season and, of course, we've managed to find some makeup inspiration in all the over-the-top razzle-dazzle. Crystal inspired makeup is perfect for a cocktail paty, complementing a little black dress to perfect effect.

While we’re true believers in the mantra “less is more,” every now and again it doesn’t hurt to resort to light-reflecting extras to help you catch the spotlight. The odds are slim you’ll want to look the part of a living chandelier in Burberry’s crystal-beaded trench coat, but you can ever-so-subtly crystallize your look with the right makeup: a fluid highlighter, applied to the high points of the face for angelic flair (or mix it with your foundation), and a silver tinged gloss with high sheen and a touch of glitter will help you capture a diamond-esque glow with ease. As for eye shadows? Think pearly white all over the lid and glittered noir to line the lashes. Now you're sparkling! Talk about tad ah factor!
