I don’t like to pick favorites when it comes to jewelry, but I will say I am almost never without a necklace. There are so many options when it comes to necklaces that we all should take advantage. The good news is that you can follow trends easily by finding inexpensive necklaces at places like: Forever 21, NY & Company, Kohl's and Charlotte Russe.

Pearls vs. Diamonds

Pearls are sophisticated and ladylike and diamonds, of course, are a girl’s best friend. It doesn’t matter which you choose or if you like to mix the two, but ask yourself - are you more a pearls or diamonds kind of girl? You can wear strands of pearls or just a solitary one. With diamonds there is no limit to the ways in which you can wear them.

Gold vs. Silver

When it comes to metallics just like with pearls or diamonds it becomes an either or situation: gold or silver. Typically, I am silver all the way, but gold goes so well with black, brown, and rich, jewel tones. Also, I am a fan of rose gold and bronze and definitely whenever it fits, I like to mix metallics in a way that complements each other.

Bib vs. Strand

Bib necklaces are all the rage right now adding a fashion-forward look to your wardrobe. The bib necklace is not quite a choker, but definitely a statement piece and can be worn to add pizazz to even the plainest of clothing. A strand necklace can be one containing colorful beads or feathers or ones of varying colors.

These are only six options that you have when it comes to choosing a necklace, but browse your favorite stores and you will see what a variety there is. What is your favorite type of necklace?
