3 Ways to Reinvent the LBD

The little black dress is classic. It will never go out of style and it will always be relevant in fashion. One of the reasons for this is because there will always be different interpretations on the LBD. While the iconic style might evoke an Audrey Hepburn feel, as time goes by, there are more modern takes to the timeless fashion.

If a deep v-neck or strapless dress is too revealing for you, a funky alternative is a LBD with cutouts. Cutouts along the neckline can give your dress some personality while also keeping the look more conservative. Cutouts near the waist are for the very confident or the ones who want to show off their hard work at the gym.

Of course, adding rhinestones is a sure way to make things more glitzy for a stylish “oomph” to the LBD. These can either be incorporated within the dress itself or you can add on a pair of tights with rhinestones or sparkly hair accessories to jazz up what might otherwise be a plain, black dress.

Finally, the fabric of a LBD will immediately change the style of the dress. A slinky, satin party dress is worn much differently than a romantic, lace one. Choose whichever style you’re most comfortable in and keep in mind the accessories you will be wearing to make your outfit complete.

These are only three of the infinite number of ways you can wear your own LBD. Which tips would you like to add?
