Funny gals and former SNL Weekend Update co-anchors Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been announced to host January’s Golden Globe Awards. Both ladies looked lovely at the recent Emmy Awards and I am excited to see how they’ll be styled for their important hosting gig.

At last year’s Golden Globes, Tina wore a dark, midnight blue gown with a deep v-neck and ruffled sleeves. The dark look was a sophisticated one for the sitcom star, but didn't do much for her figure. The bright red manicure was a slight mismatch for the look, and her hair was not flattering for her face.

However, she made a major style change for September’s Emmy Awards and showed up looking posh and polished in a cranberry, column gown. The scoop neck and dress fit were both figure-friendly and flattering. Her hair was upgraded from the Globes with a funky, pompadour-ish style. For her hosting debut, I’d like to see her in emerald green, gold or even a deep red again as it flatters her skin tone. I like that she never goes overboard with her makeup and typically keeps her hair fairly simple.

Amy Poehler made quite the style transition from her light golden, sparkly gown at last year’s Globes. However, like her SNL friend, she did not choose a dress that was flattering for her figure. In fact, the odd sleeves and beaded lining of the dress made her look a bit frumpy. Her hair and makeup were okay for everyday, but I was hoping to see an extra bit of glam with a slicked back ‘do or a pop of color on the lips.

For the Emmy’s, Amy went from glum to glam in a plunging v-neck, black, sparkly gown. Her hair and makeup were kept soft once more, but she wanted to make a statement in her halter gown. The dress choice plus the chic, red nails inched towards the glamour I want to see, but for her co-hosting duties, I'd like to see her in a sexy gown again, but maybe one with a bit more support.

I am excited these fabulous ladies have been chosen to host the Golden Globes! Do you think the ladies were the right hosting choice? What do you think they'll wear?
